Meeting with 31st FW pilots 2025

A fighter bomber pilot from 555th Fighter Squadron and a helicopter pilot from 56th Rescue Squadron meet AAFG (Aviano AB Aviation Friends Group)

Wednesday evening, May 14, 2025, Maj. Jason “Igor” Ingalls, Assistant Director of Operations, from 56th Rescue Squadron, and Capt. Paul “Yeti” Dudunakis, Squadron Scheduler, from 555th Fighter Squadron, honored AAFG’s members and friends, who attended the meeting organized at the Group “headquarters”, in Pordenone.  Purpose of the meeting was to provide the audience with a full overview in the activities conducted by each squadrons, as well as, the characteristics of the aircraft they fly, i.e. the Lockheed-Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon assigned to 555th Fighter Squadron and the new helicopter Sikorsky HH-60W Jolly Green II assigned to 56th Rescue Squadron.  The exposure of the topics has been followed by many questions from a full involved and interested audience, to which the distinguished guests have always given clear and exhaustive answers. At the meeting also attended also 31st Fighter Wing Public Affairs representatives, to                                                                                            which the AAFG have to address a warm thanks for the support in setting up such initiatives.

Un pilota di caccia bombardiere del 555th Fighter Squadron e uno di elicotteri del 56th Rescue Squadron incontrano l’AAFG (Aviano AB Aviation Friends Group)
Mercoledì sera, 14 maggio 2025, il Maggiore Jason "Igor" Ingalls, Assistente del Direttore Operazioni al 56th Rescue Squadron, e il Capitano Paul "Yeti" Dudunakis, Responsabile Pianificazione dello squadrone al 555th Fighter Squadron, hanno onorato i membri dell'AAFG e amici che hanno presenziato l’incontro organizzato presso la sede del Gruppo, a Pordenone.  Scopo dell'incontro era fornire al pubblico intervenuto una panoramica completa, delle attività svolte in ciascun squadrone, tanto quanto delle caratteristiche degli aeromobili impiegati, ovvero, il Lockheed-Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon in forza al 555th Fighter Squadron e il nuovo elicottero Sikorsky HH-60W Jolly Green II, da poco consegnato al 56th Rescue Squadron.  All'esposizione dei piloti hanno fatto seguito le domande di un numeroso pubblico, pienamente partecipe ed interessato, a cui gli illustri ospiti hanno fornito risposte chiare ed esaustive. All'incontro hanno partecipato anche rappresentanti dell’Ufficio Relazioni Pubbliche del 31th Fighter Wing, ai quali l'AAFG desidera rivolgere un caloroso ringraziamento per il supporto fornito nel realizzare tali iniziative.
