May 2, 2016, at Aviano AB took place the ceremony of promotion of the 31st Fighter Wing Commander, Barre R. Seguin, to rank of Major General . The ceremony was attended by Lt. Gen. Timothy M. Ray, 3rd Air Force and 17th Expeditionary Air Force commander , who gave the new rank insignia to the Seguin’s familiar which pinned it on his service coat and shirt epaulettes. Lt. Gen. Ray also highlighted the great job done by Maj. Gen. Seguin during the time spent at Aviano AB, as well as, his attitude on being a “servant leader” who puts the team benefits above his own.
Maj. Gen. Seguin wanted to share this event with the U.S. Air Force Airmen of Aviano AB, before to leave the 31st Fighter Wing Command for next assignment in Stuttgart, as U.S. Africa Command’s Director of Strategy, and relinquished command to Brig. Gen. (selected) Lance K. Landrum, because he has felt proud to serve this great Air Force and grateful to have been part of the Team Aviano during these years. Renzo Del Bianco Presidente AAFG
