Cambio Comando al 31st Fighter Wing - 2011 - Change of Command at 31st Fighter Wing
La Cerimonia di Cambio di Comando del 31st Fighter Wing ha avuto luogo venerdì mattina 22 aprile all’Aeroporto Pagliano e Gori di Aviano. Il Brigadiere Generale Charles Q. Brown Jr. ha restituito il comando al Tenente Generale Frank Gorenc, Comandante della 3rd Air Force, e il Brigadiere Generale Scott J. Zobrist ha assunto il comando dell’unità con il motto “Return with Honor” dal Generale Gorenc. Il Brigadiere Generale Charles Q. Brown Jr. assumerà la posizione di vice-direttore alle operazioni presso il quartier generale del Comando Centrale presso la McDill AFB, in Florida. Prima dell’assegnazione ad Aviano, il Brigadiere Generale Scott J. Zobrist ha comandato il 388th Fighter Wing presso la Hill AFB, Utah. E’ pilota comandante con più di 2500 ore di volo ed è già stato assegnato due volte ad Aviano, negli anni 90 con il 510th Fighter Squadron e nel periodo 2005-2007 come Comandante del 31st Operations Group. The 31st Fighter Wing Change of Command Ceremony took place Friday morning 22nd of April 2011 at Aviano AB, where Brig. Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. has relinquished command to Lt. Gen. Frank Gorenc, 3rd Air Force Commander, and Brig. Gen. Scott J. Zobrist has assumed command of the “Return with Honor” unit from 3rd Air Force Commander. Brig. Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. will take up the position of deputy director of operations , Headquarters U.S. Central Command at McDill AFB, Fla. Prior to this current assignment, Brig. Gen. Scott J. Zobrist was 388th Fighter Wing Commander, Hill AFB, Utah. He is command pilot with more the 2500 flying hours. Brig. Gen. Scott J. Zobrist already served two times at Aviano AB, in the nineties with Buzzards team and in 2005-2007 period as 31st Operations Group Commander.
