Se il  28 Ottobre 1994 è una data importante per l’Associazione con la presentazione ufficiale dell' Aviano Ab Aviation Friends Group all’allora Comandante del 31st Fighter Wing, Col. John H. Campbell da parte dell'Addetto alle Pubbliche Relazioni Col. Paolo Tarchi, è con il 26 novembre successivo che ha inizio la serie di visite in base e di incontri con il personale che hanno contraddistinto una parte significativa dell’attività svolta nei primi vent’anni di vita associativa.L’occasione per la visita era rappresentata dal rischieramento di 8 F-15E Strike Eagle appartenenti al 492nd Fighter Squadron del 48th Fighter Wing, normalmente basato a Lakenheath in Gran Bretagna, presenti ad Aviano nell’ambito dell’operazione “Deny Flight”.L’incontro con il reparto è avvenuto pochi giorni prima del rientro degli aerei alla base di appartenenza ed ha permesso di conoscere gli uomini e gli aerei dello squadrone, culminando con una “passeggiata” in area operativa (nel loop ospitante il 510th Fighter Squadron) e con un velivolo in mostra statica.La visita, grazie alla eccellente disponibilità del personale del reparto, ha anche permesso di conoscere la procedura di pianificazione di una missione attraverso la sofisticata dotazione di apparati elettronici del velivolo e di illustrare gli aspetti più salienti emersi nel corso delle missioni svolte sulla Bosnia. Infatti i velivoli, decollando da Aviano, hanno compiuto pattugliamenti notturni sulla Bosnia, armati sia con carichi AAM che con LGB provvedendo sia al supporto alla “No fly zone” che al supporto ravvicinato alle forze terrestri ONU.Degna di nota la assoluta disponibilità ad esaminare “da vicino” il cacciabombardiere F-15E, che si ricorda essere all’epoca uno degli aerei tecnologicamente più avanzati, anche se munito di armamento “live” ( AIM-9M Sidewinder, AIM-120 AMRAAM, GBU-12 Paveway II, pod LANTIRN)  e in configurazione operativa.Verso la conclusione dell’incontro, anche se ormai il tardo pomeriggio autunnale non lasciava pìù grandi margini di luce, si è avuto il classico colpo di fortuna che, grazie alla disponibilità del nostro accompagnatore col. Tarchi, si è realizzato con la visita ad un EF-111A Raven del 429th Electronic Combat Squadron del 27th Fighter Wing di Cannon AFB  parcheggiatosul piazzale prospiciente l’ hangar one. Il velivolo era decorato con insegne di reparto e nose art in “full color”.La disponibilità dell’ equipaggio del Raven è stata eccezionale al punto che ci hanno consentito di esaminare il cockpit del velivolo e di riprendere ogni tipo di immagine, nonché le classiche foto di rito.Questa la prima significativa tappa del cammino intrapreso nel lontano 1994 dall’Associazione con lo scopo di organizzare incontri e visite con il personale dei vari reparti della Base di Aviano per poter stringere con loro rapporti di amicizia, cammino che senza il fattivo sostegno del servizio pubbliche relazioni non si sarebbe mai potuto realizzare.

If October 28, 1994 is an important date for the Association with the official presentation of the  “Aviano AB Aviation Friends Group “  to the then Commander of the 31st Fighter Wing , Col. John H. Campbell by the Public Relations  manager Col. Paul Tarchi , with November  26 begins the series of visits and meetings in accordance with the personnel that have marked a significant part of the activities carried out during the first two decades of community life. The occasion for the visit was represented by the redeployment of 8 F -15E Strike Eagle belonging to the 492nd Fighter Squadron of the 48th Fighter Wing , normally based at Lakenheath in Great Britain, present in Aviano as part of the Operation " Deny Flight " . The meeting  took place a few days bef ore the returning the aircraft to the membership base and has allowed us to know the squadron men and aircrafts, culminating with a "walk" in the operating area ( in the loop host the 510th Fighter Squadron ) and with an aircraft on static display . The visit, thanks to the excellent helpful staff of the department, has also allowed us to learn about the process of planning a mission through the provision of sophisticated electronic equipment of the aircraft and to illustrate the most salient points that emerged during the missions over Bosnia . In fact, the aircraft taking off from Aviano , have made night patrols over Bosnia , both armed with loads AAM and with LGB  providing support to the " no fly zone" and close support to UN ground forces . Worthy of note is the absolute willingness to examine " closely" the F- 15E fighter-bomber , who remembers being at the time one of the most technologically advanced aircraft , even if equipped with armament "live" ( AIM -9M Sidewinder , AIM -120 AMRAAM , GBU -12 Paveway II , LANTIRN pod ) and in operating configuration . Towards the end of the meeting, even if they are late autumn afternoon that left no larger margins of light , there was the classic stroke of luck that , thanks to the availability of Col. Tarchi , we made a visit to an EF- 111A Raven of the 429th Electronic Combat Squadron of the 27th Fighter Wing at Cannon AFB parked on the square facing the ' hangar one . The aircraft was decorated with nose art and unit insignia in "full color" . The availability of the ' Raven 's crew was exceptional to the point that allowed us to examine the cockpit of the aircraft and to take any type of image , as well as the classic photo of the rite. This is the first significant stage of the journey undertaken by the Association in 1994 with the aim of organizing meetings and visits with the staff of the various departments of the Aviano Air Base in order to tighten their ties of friendship , a way that without the active support of the public service relations  we would never have been able to achieve .
