RE-ALIGNMENT OF THE 56th AND 57th RESCUE SQUADRONS TO THE 31st FIGHTER WING
June 14, 2018, at Aviano Air Base, took place the realignment ceremony of the 56th and 57th Rescue Squadron. In front of Airmen, families and friends, Lt. Col. Leslie Semrau reaffirmed responsibility of command for 56th Rescue Squadron and Maj. Seth Davis reaffirmed responsibility of command for the 57th Rescue Squadron. Col. Richard Nelson, 31st Operations Group Commander, presided over the ceremony of both squadrons realigning from 48th Fighter Wing, RAF Lakenheath, England, to the 31st Fighter Wing. Before the realignment ceremony pararescuemen of the 57th and the Operations Group Commander had dropped from 10,000 feet.
