RAF LAKENHEATH – September 8, 2016
Some members of the Aviano AB Aviation Friends Group visited the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath, Thursday September 8, to document flight operations of the 493rd Fighter Squadron “Reapers“ F-15Cs Eagle and 56th Rescue Squadron “Friends in low places“ HH-60Gs Pave Hawk helicopters. Photo opportunities, both in the flight line than close to the runway, arranged by 48th FW/PA and squadrons had made possible extraordinary photographic shooting of a typical operative day in the air base. A similar photo session was made by members of the group last year in the 492nd Fighter Squadron “Madhatters” F-15s and 494th Fighter Squadrons “Panthers” F-15Es flight line, as witnessed in the visit report also available on this web site.
