Meeting with Brigadier General Gianfranco Da Forno (retired)
Dopo oltre due anni, a causa delle restrizioni causate dalla pandemia da Covid-19, lo scorso 13 maggio, siamo riusciti finalmente ad organizzare, nel rispetto delle prescrizioni, una delle nostre serate a tema aeronautico e non solo. Abbiamo potuto ricominciare con una presenza di primo piano, il Generale di Brigata (in qiuescenza), Gianfranco Da Forno, nostro Socio Onorario.
Gli incarichi ricoperti dal Generale Da Forno sono stati innumerevoli nella sua lunga carriera in Aeronautica Militare.
Uno dei ruoli svolti più a lungo è stato quello di Ufficiale P.R. e speaker della Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale, Frecce Tricolori, dal 1979 al 1990.
Autore di numerose e interessantissime pubblicazioni, fotografiche e tecnico/specialistiche proprio sulla PAN.
Proprio in base alla sua lunga esperienza e infinita passione personale sulle Frecce Tricolori, la serata è stata improntata alla presentazione degli ultimi libri sulla storia della PAN e dell'acrobazia aerea passando per 50°, 55° e il recentissimo 60° anniversario.
Ringraziamo per la disponibilità il "nostro" Socio Onorario e speriamo che questa recente serata sia un indice di ripresa per le attività del Gruppo AAFG.

After more than two years, due to the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, on May 13th, we were finally able to organize, in compliance with the requirements, one of our aeronautical themed evenings and more. We were able to start again with a prominent presence, the Brigadier General (retired), Gianfranco Da Forno, our Honorary Member.
The positions covered by General Da Forno have been innumerable in his long career in the Aeronautica Militare.
One of the longest-held roles was that of Officer P.R. and speaker of the Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale (PAN), Frecce Tricolori, from 1979 to 1990.
Author of numerous and very interesting publications, photographic and technical / specialist on the PAN.
Precisely on the basis of his long experience and infinite personal passion on the Frecce Tricolori, the evening was marked by the presentation of the latest books on the history of PAN and aerial acrobatics, passing through the 50th, 55th and the very recent 60th anniversary.
We thank "our" Honorary Member for his availability and we hope that this recent evening will be an index of recovery for the activities of the AAFG Group.
